WELCOME DR KAT ASTILL!!

BIO

Kat graduated from The University of Queensland’s Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2005 and completed an Internship in Equine Emergency and Critical Care at The Ohio State University in 2006. She then began work at Scone Equine Hospital, rotating through equine anaesthesia, reproduction and stud medicine. She became the resident veterinarian at Woodlands Stud, Baramul Stud and Widden Stud as well as attending other studs in Scone and surrounding areas. Kat changed from a thoroughbred stud medicine focus in 2010 for a position in Sydney concentrating on thoroughbred racing and artificial breeding technologies. In July 2011, Kat moved to Geraldton as an owner/veterinarian of Greenough Equine Veterinary Centre, where she worked until January 2015. Kat has taken up casual employment with Midwest Veterinary Centre.

SERVICES OFFERED

Kat is available on Mondays for all services and Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings for reproduction work. She will also be helping the new graduate veterinarians to further develop their equine skills.
